1st Annual Walter W. Jollie Fishing Derby

When: Saturday, August 6, @ 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon
Where: 📍 Liebenzell Guest House Pond, 13 Heath Lane, Long Valley, NJ 07853

Rain or shine. Grab your fishing pole and come on over! There will be music, snacks, fish identification information, and a “how to build an emergency fishing pole” demonstration during the event.

Awards

We will have a Grand Prize Winner for the biggest fish overall! Awards will be given for the most fish, biggest fish, and smallest fish in each of the three age groups:

5 years old and under
6-9 years old
10-12 years old

About Walter W. Jollie

Walter W. Jollie grew up hunting and fishing with his father and siblings in NJ. His greatest love was freshwater fishing in all the wonderful lakes, rivers, and streams here in Northern NJ. It didn’t matter if it was trout, bass, walleye, crappie, or even sunnies, fishing was his relaxation, his stress relief, and his time in nature. One of his greatest joys was to take his children and grandchildren fishing. Walter passed away in 2019 and in remembrance of him, we hope to encourage the love of fishing.
